Odors of Bom Jesus de Braga gathered in an air freshener

The scents of the trees, the woods, the moss and the wet earth of Bom Jesus de Braga were condensed into an air freshener, presented this Friday, which seeks to translate the olfactory identity of that heritage.

The product is part of a cultural, religious and tourist promotion project of Bom Jesus based on the five senses (smell, sight, hearing, taste and touch) that will be developed over the next two years, with promotional actions expected to be carried out every six months.

The “fragrance of Bom Jesus” was developed by a perfumery from Braga, Norte Empresa, which carried out a research work of “several months”, with the collection of the various odors existing in the sanctuary.

“Our laboratory team carried out a survey of the space, the trees, the plants, the staircase so that it was possible to compile a composition, where more than 50 ingredients were used”, explained the entrepreneur Daniel Vilaça.

The intention, he stressed, is “to allow each person to have the opportunity to feel the magic of Bom Jesus inside their own home”, being able to “relax as if they were in the woods” of the sanctuary.

The product will be on sale at Casa das Estampas and at the Bom Jesus Hotels, at the Yntenzo Store and at some souvenir stores in the city of Braga. Customers can choose between two spray air fresheners of 100 and 250ml and a 250ml mikado air freshener. Prices range from €13.90 to €32.90.
